I provide services to people who are brave and who ask for help. Personally, I know how difficult it was for me to get out of bed when suffering from depression and anxiety and to go about the everyday when concerned about having another panic attack. I know how valuable it was for me to have someone to talk to that wouldn’t judge me or make me feel guilty about being exactly where I was at the time. The idea of “you should be fine”, or “you have no reason to be anxious or depressed” is hurtful and doesn’t help.
My experience and expertise includes working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, unexplained physical symptoms, substance abuse/dependence, bipolar and mood disorders, issues of identity, eating and exercise disorders, grief & loss, performance, motivation, spectrum disorders and those who cant find a box to fit in.
I find myself a flexible person and Psychologist. Some people benefit from more frequent check ins. Others may benefit from a walk or playing a game while we talk.
I find that clients connect to me who are: folks in the arts, business owners or professionals (carrying the stress of the weight of the world on their shoulders), athletes, parents or those who grew up with powerful parents and need help deprogramming the crap that they were taught early on. This includes religious abuse or narcissistic partners/parents. People struggling with finding and implementing new ways to cope and looking to lose the unhealthy ways (drinking, drugs, unhealthy people etc) should reach out.
