As a counselor-in-training, I am deeply committed to fostering growth, healing, and resilience in the individuals and communities I serve. My identity as a counselor is rooted in an underlying belief that all people can achieve their mental health goals through compassionate care and a collaborative therapeutic relationship in a safe and comforting environment. I view counseling as a journey of self-exploration, acceptance, and of learning how to take committed action towards goals based on values.

I work with individuals and groups seeking assistance in tackling challenges like substance or process addictions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Theory. I am especially dedicated to advocating for mental health equity and reducing stigma, and I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

I am also pursuing a specialization for working with children and adolescents as part of my education. During my time as a counselor-in-training I have also worked as a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools and take great pride in building trust and rapport with children and adolescents. Throughout my time working within the education system I have come to witness firsthand the importance of providing empathetic and ethical care for these populations. I believe in creating a safe environment for children and adolescents which fosters free expression and the understanding that they are respected.

Changing careers and becoming a counselor has been the greatest joy and privilege of my life. Within each client I have met I have seen the beauty of the human spirit and have grown an ever-increasing appreciation for the power of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to always act as a steward for my clients as they bravely seek to solve the challenges of their lives. I am looking forward to hearing your story!
